Abstract:This paper firstly summarizes and analyzes the reasons for poor recovery of coarse-grained minerals: 1) the contact time between coarse-grained minerals and bubbles is short, but the induction time is long; 2) the gas-solid adhesion strength with bubbles is low. Next, we mainly introduce the fluidization technology and its application of this technology in coarse particle sorting. Though gas-solid, liquid-solid two-phase fluidization are widely used in the field of coal sorting, but due to the complexity of the field of non-ferrous metal ore sorting, gas-liquid-solid three-phase fluidized flotation technology is still in the research stage. At the same time, the research progress of the theory and equipment of fluidized flotation technology is summarized. HydroFloat Separator and NovaCell are representative equipments. The main research directions and development trends of fluidized flotation are analyzed. The study of fluidized flotation kinetics, three-phase flow field simulation strategy, and the addition of composite force fields increase the upper limit of mineral particle flotation.
