Abstract:
      The 2-0.5mm separation system of Meishan Iron Mine used conventional drum type magnetic separator with one roughing and one scavenging, which has the problem of low metal recovery. The external magnet magnetic separator was used to replace the original system of unified roughing and scavenging drum type magnetic separator. The separation experiment of 2-0.5mm mixed iron ore was carried out. Under the condition of separator drum speed of 16r/min and rinsing water fully opened, the results show the recovery rate of TFe increased by 10.68% compared with the original system. and the content of Fe for Fe3O4 in tailings decreased from 0.57% to 0.24%. The total content ratio of Fe for Fe3O4 and Fe2O3 in tailings decreased from 42.88% to 31.11%. The external magnet magnetic separator significantly improved the metal recovery rate of the system and simplified the process configuration.
